Cables commonly used in video surveillance

In video surveillance, although the cable has nothing to do with monitoring on the surface, it is indeed indispensable, and the performance of the cable will also affect the stability of the monitoring operation, and the effect of the screen transmission is also related to the cable. In short, the position of the cable in monitoring is not low. Video signal transmission generally uses direct modulation technology, in the form of baseband frequency (about 8MHz bandwidth), the common transmission medium is coaxial cable. Coaxial cable is specially designed to transmit video signals, its frequency loss, image distortion, image attenuation amplitude is relatively small, can be very good to complete the task of transmitting video signals. Generally, special SYV75 ohm series coaxial cables are used, and the commonly used model is SYV75-5 (its non-relay transmission distance for video signals is generally 300-500m); When the distance is relatively long, SYV75-7, SYV75-9 or even SYV75-12 coaxial cables are required (in actual engineering, the non-relay transmission distance of thick cables can reach more than 1km); There are also video amplifiers to enhance the brightness, chromaticity and synchronization signals of the video, however, the interference signal in the line will also be amplified, so too many video amplifiers cannot be connected in series in the loop, otherwise saturation will occur and image distortion will occur. The optical fiber transmission mode is adopted for farther distance. Optical fiber transmission has a series of advantages such as low attenuation, wide frequency band, no electromagnetic wave interference, light weight, good confidentiality, etc. It is mainly used for national, provincial and municipal backbone communication networks, cable TV networks and high-speed broadband computer networks. In the closed-circuit television monitoring system, optical fiber transmission has also become a long-distance video and audio and control signal transmission.
